The EverQuest II community welcomes a brand spankin’ new Community Manager! Well, she’s not all THAT new. Christie “Kiara” Renzetti has done her time as a writer for both Ten Ton Hammer and Allakhazam, and has been a dedicated EQ2 Player since the beginning.
A little background that folks might find interesting (or comforting maybe). I am a late blooming geek. I got into gaming with EverQuest a little after it launched back in 1999. I still managed to graduate from college, so I call that a win. As soon as I found out about EQ2 I was hooked and have been here ever since.

If you are one of the many new folks that have decided to come on in and give EQ2 a try during the Living Legacy Campaign, then you might be scratching your head over the many class choices! SOE demystifies choosing your class.
Please note that not all classes are available to all races initially. Races are chosen by alignment (good, neutral, or evil) and appropriate classes are then available to choose from, depending on the race alignment. For example, you cannot choose to be a Dark Elf ranger or a Froglok defiler during the character creation process. There are some exceptions to this rule when a character betrays their home city, but not during the initial character creation.
